During certain weeks, when the kids get their poem folders, it will feature a poem that has the letter of the week. For example, the letter 'Kk' features a poem called King with the Kite. The poem sheet is for the children to read the poem, underline the words that start with the letter of the week, underline the different sounds that make up the word (e.g, kingdom has two 'sounds' in the word, which are 'king' and 'dom'). Let the children feel free to scribble on the poem. And once the children have learned the words and the poem, please file it in the back of the folder.
Literacy is an amazing opportunity for the children to open more doors in their learning and their lives as well.
